2023 - 2024 Hockey Manitoba Fee Structure

The Hockey Manitoba Registration Fee is assessed for each registered Hockey Manitoba participant (Team Official, Player, or Official).  The Hockey Manitoba Registration Fee helps to offset the costs associated with Hockey Manitoba’s administration of operations, members services, and development activities.

For the 2023 – 2024 season please note the following;

  1. The Hockey Canada insurance portion of the Hockey Manitoba Registration Fees has been upwardly adjusted by $5.93 plus the applicable taxes.  Insurance adjustments have occurred across all industries regarding insurance premiums, and sports is no exception.
  1. Hockey Manitoba has chosen not to adjust our portion of the total registration fees which have remained consistent and unchanged since the 2015 – 2016 season. Unfortunately, Hockey Manitoba has very limited control over the cost associated with the Hockey Canada insurance fees and despite the increase this year they remain extremely competitive and some of the lowest in the sporting industry.

For a more complete explanation of the Insurance coverage contained in the Hockey Manitoba Registration Fee document, please access the Hockey Canada Safety for All booklet by clicking here (pages 40 - 59).

In addition, Hockey Manitoba is in the final stages of completing the 2022 - 2023 member reconciliation process which members should receive in the coming days that will indicate if you will receive a refund or be required to remit further payment.

Finally, under separate cover Hockey Manitoba is scheduled to issue a refund of $3.00 per each member registered in the 2022 – 2023 season.  This is based on Hockey Canada’s decision to waive their assessment fee for the 2022 – 2023 season.  The appropriate cheques will be sent to the applicable minor hockey association, junior/senior teams, or accredited school programs. Member programs have the responsibility to determine how they plan to redistribute the membership refund appropriately.
