Registration & Fee Info

Dauphin Minor Hockey Association will begin registration for the 2019/2020 hockey season Monday, June 24th, 2019.  We encourage everyone to sign up as quickly as possible to participate in the Player Development Program beginning in September.

At least one parent or guardian must complete Respect in Sport per hockey player by November 1.  To begin Respect in Sport, click here.

There are Financial Assistance Programs available under the "Parents" tab.  Check out the links to see if you qualify for these programs.

Registration and payment can be done in one of 3 ways:

1) Online until September 8 - click here to begin

We encourage those with access to internet and the ability to pay via credit card to choose this option.  All parents will be required to create an account (user name & password) to manage their account and register their child(ren) with Dauphin Minor Hockey.

Through the Hockey Canada Registry program account that you will create, you will be able to update player information such as mailing address, email and phone numbers that you prefer for all Dauphin Minor Hockey communication. You will then also be able to update and confirm this information at any time in the season if required.

Anyone who registers online will be required to pay via credit card and will be given 2 payment options:

  1. Pay Entire Fee at Once – if you select this option, your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the player fee upon completing the registration process. A receipt will be emailed to you from Hockey Canada as well as Chase Paymentech (Our payment processing company) to confirm that payment has been received.
  2. Payment Plan to December 31, 2019 – If you select this option, your credit card will be charged upon completing the registration process and the remaining balance will be charged through equal payments until December 31, 2019. A receipt will be emailed to you from Hockey Canada and Chase Paymentech (our payment processing company) each time your credit card is charged, to confirm that payment has been received.

2) In person at the Dauphin Recreation Services

Those who choose to do the Payment Plan must bring 7 cheques at the time of registration (the first cheque will be dated the day you register, the other 6 cheques will be dated July 31, August 31, September 30, October 31, November 30, December 31).  If you are paying with cash, a full payment will be expected at the time of registration.

3) In person at the Dauphin Recreation Services Rec & Leisure Mart

Initiation: $250 ($350 including refundable raffle tickets)

The Initiation division will consist of amalgamated female and male players in accordance with the Dauphin Minor Hockey and Hockey Manitoba rules. Each team in the Initiation age group will have Two 45 minute practice ice times per week.  The Initiation 2019/20 season will run from October 15, 2019-February 28, 2019. Team sizes will be loosely based on the DMH rubric (depending on ice time and practicality of forming one more or one less team).

The DMH Board would like to implement standards set out by Hockey Canada and Hockey Manitoba this season.  These standards included guidelines for games and practices played at each age group.   The standards set up for the Initiation age group are 35-40 practices at a length of 45-60 minutes each and 15-25 cross ice games.  For further details please click this link:

ATOM: $375 ($475 including refundable raffle tickets)

When the DMH Atom Division has 13 players per team for 2 house teams or more a A1 and Double A Division for Provincials and tournament representation will exist.  Players must try out and be the chosen to play on an A1 and Double A team.  Players that successfully make one of those teams will be double rostered.  Those that are not selected or choose not to play on an A1 or Double A team will be single rostered to their respective house league team.

a) EXAMPLE (A) - 13 Players registered for Atom resulting in one 13 person team.  That team will represent Dauphin in Parkissimo/Parkland League, Provincials and tournaments. 

b) EXAMPLE (B) – 26 players registered for Atom resulting in two 13 player teams.  Players will be divided equally to for two house teams that would participate only in the Parkissimo/Parkland league.  Try outs would be held to form an A1 and Double A team to represent Dauphin at tournament and Provincial play.  Whenever possible, A1 or Double A teams must carry a minimum of 15 players consisting of 13 skaters and 2 goalies.

c) EXAMPLE(C) – 39 players registered for Atom resulting in three 13 player teams.  Players will be divided equally to for three house teams that would participate only in the Parkissimo/Parkland league.  Try outs would be held to form an A1 team of 15 players and Double A team of 15 players to represent Dauphin at tournament and Provincial play.  Whenever possible, A1 or Double A teams must carry a minimum of 15 players consisting of 13 skaters and 2 goalies.

Practice time will consist of one 1.5 hours per week per house team.  House league practices to run from October 15, 2019-February 28, 2020.  Any practice time costs after the said date will be the responsibility of the team using that ice.  Any Parkissimo/Parkland playoff ice costs after the said date will be the responsibility of DMH.

House league teams will only play within the Parkissimo/Parkland League with the exception of one out of town tournament and the home house tournament.

Practice time will consist of one 1.5 hours per week for the A1 team.   A1 practices to run from October 15, 2019-Provincial weekend 2020.  Any practice time costs after the said date will be the responsibility of the team using that ice.  Should one of these teams be unsuccessful in being the represent from the Parkland, their practice would end when their intended Provincial tournament is to be.   It should be noted that due to ice shortages in Dauphin, players playing on these teams may have to travel to surrounding communities to obtain practice time or be expected to have before school practices.  Additional practice ice and fees cost to play on the A1 team is $375.

Practice time will consist of 1.5 hours per week on the Double A team.  Double A practices to run from October 15, 2019-Provincial weekend 2020.  Any practice time costs after the said date will be the responsibility of the team using that ice.  Should one of these teams be unsuccessful in being the represent from the Parkland, their practice would end when their intended Provincial tournament is to be.   It should be noted that due to ice shortages in Dauphin, players playing on these teams may have to travel to surrounding communities to obtain practice time or be expected to have before school practices.  Additional practice ice cost to play on the Double A team is $375.

A1 and Double A teams will represent Dauphin in tournaments, exhibition play abroad as well as compete at the Provincial tournament in their respective classification.

PEE WEE: $400 ($500 including refundable raffle tickets)

When the DMH Pee Wee Division has 13 players for each of 2 house teams or more an A1 and Double A Division for Provincial and tournament representation will exist.  Players must try out and be the chosen to play on an A1 or Double AA team.  Players that successfully make one of those teams MAY be double rostered.  Those that are not selected will be single rostered to their respective house league team.  If numbers are sufficient there will be a single rostered Double AA team.  Players will try out as described above.  Players who do not make the Double AA team will be assigned to a house league team and will ahve the opportunity to be chosen for the A1 team.

a) EXAMPLE (A) - 13 Players registered for Pee Wee resulting in one 13 person team.  That team will represent Dauphin in Parkissimo/Parkland League, Provincials and tournaments

b) EXAMPLE (B) – 26 players registered for Pee Wee resulting in two 13 player teams.  Players will be divided equally to for two house teams that would participate in the Parkissimo/Parkland  league and try outs would be held to form an A1 and Double AA team to represent Dauphin at tournament and Provincial play.  Whenever possible, A1 or Double AA teams must carry a minimum of 15 players consisting of 13 skaters and 2 goalies.

Single A and Double AA teams will represent Dauphin in tournaments, exhibition play abroad as well as compete at the Provincial Tournament in their respective classification.

BANTAM: $450 ($550 including raffle tickets)

We anticipate that the Bantam division will run very similarly to last year.  This means that initially there is plan for a single house league team.  This team will be eligible to represent Dauphin in Parkissimo league and tournaments.  We anticipate again that some or all of the players will choose to participate in a travelling program.

Practice time will consist of one 1.5 hour per week for the house program.  House league practices to run from October 15, 2019-February 28, 2020.  Any practice time costs after the said date will be the responsibility of the team using that ice.  Any Parkissimo playoff ice costs after the said date will be the responsibility of DMH.

House league teams will only play within the Parkissimo League with the exception of one out of town tournament and the home house tournament.

Practice time will consist of one 1.5 hour per week for the travelling team.   Travelling team practices run from October 15, 2019-Provincial weekend 2020.  Any practice time costs after the said date will be the responsibility of the team.  Should this team be unsuccessful in being the representative from the Parkland, their practice would end when their intended Provincial tournament is to be.   It should be noted that due to ice shortages in Dauphin, players playing on this teams may have to travel to surrounding communities to obtain practice time.  Additional practice ice cost to play on the travelling team is $450.

The travelling team will represent Dauphin in tournaments, exhibition play abroad as well as compete at the Provincial tournament in their respective classification.

Based on the number of players registered throughout the categories following the last regular registration, the Board of Directors reserves the right to alter the program structure to provide the greatest possible opportunity for Dauphin youth to play hockey.
